Of course you can imitate bacon out of just about anything, but real bacon is made only from pork.

Bacon is normally from pigs but it can be made from all sorts of animals like beef, lamb, chickens, goats or turkeys. It's more of a process on certain cut of meat from the belly or sides, usually but not always smoked.

I have seen a few other sources. Turkey,Tofu, and all kinds of Fun stuff :)

Fakin bacon could be made from anything. I never touch the stuff. It's strictly pork produced bacon for me.

The really good tasting bacon I've had is the real thing from a pig. Maybe that's in my head but that's what I like.
