total cleansing.

Good time management. Why not get it all done while you're there?

This is pretty normal #1 after #2 -- in fact -- it's how you tell a baby's #2 is finished. I'm not sure, but I'm guessing we relax certain muscles when we do the #2, and that triggers the bladder to release the #1.

The length and duration of the defecation is dependent upon many variables such as recent liquid consumption within the last six hours, ingestion of consumable matter and the composition of the said matter. Use of diuretics such as decaffeinated or alcoholic drinks as well as possible digestive maladies I needn't mention. The mood, haste to make waste and these former factors will determine whether urination will occur when creating #2.

I do as far as I can remember, as this isn't something I usually take notice of...but I'm sure I will now. As far as why...your bladder is usually holding urine at most times...so...I guess your body says "well, she's sitting here, might as well get rid of this while she's here, it will her save some time later!" ...right.

For some reason, I feel as though this question will be remembered tomorrow, when those who answered this question have their daily ritual of letting loose. ...and the weird thing is Drastic going crazy's face will flash before them...an honor ode to your question, Drastic. Thanks for the healthy bowel movement question!

-
lol yes i do. its gotta do with your muscles relaxing and letting it all go

I'd think there would be something wrong with me if it didn't happen that way.
-
The brains very clever and tells it's mates downstairs to dump the waste in one foul swoop so they can do some spring cleaning and then have a little rest.
-
Let it all hang out.
-
Serious question my sphincter...
-
Lmao...You have way to much free time on your hands lol :-)
-
I believe this is because the you use the same muscle to "hold in" your waste. Usually, you "push" hard when doing #2 and #1 will come out.
-
I am serious I count the numbers like this 0, 1, 2, ... so I have to do 1 before I can do 2. Thats just how I count.
-
I could give you 3 good reasons.
-
When nature calls , don't question it just do it - lol

TheAnswerer is right. The same muscle controls both functions. It is called the PC or pubococcygeus muscle. It is in the pelvic floor and is responsible for both the function of the uterers connected to the bladder and the rectum connected to the intestine. Here's a wiki article about it :) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pubococcygeus_muscle

Yes...and I'm not sure.
-
Yes, LOL! I guess the bladder and involuntary muscles decide you my as well do the #1 while you're there, hehe.
-
i think its because everything relaxes down there

Usually. Why not? Many text and walk at the same time. Will drive and cell phone. Some will even chew gum while walking. Why should the potty be off limits to multi-tasking?
