Wow, I assume that getting a new harmonica is out of the question...can you boil a harmonica?
-
Most harmonicas can be disassembled and cleaned without a problem. (Put the harmonica in the dip and tried to blow on the nacho did we?)
-
Try a bottle of "Old English" lemon oil furniture polish and a few small pipe cleaners.
-
Hmm. Buy a new harmonica.

If the harmonica in question is a C Chromatic, just get a new one. Seriously, i bought a bright pink harmonica as a Christmas gift for a 4 year old for $1.50 last year because she always loves when I play harmonica for her. She wanted me to play hers when she received it, and I was expecting it to be an untuned little party favor... turns out I could wail on that thing just as easily as my $40 Honer! If it's a rarer key though, I guess you're just gonna have to start fishing the cheese and pimentos out with a toothpick, blowing it hard, and tapping it on your wrist. And don't blow cheese into your harmonica again, silly!

there are little reeds inside, you'll need to take it apart, or if it's one of those $5 ones toss it.

get a new one. lol
