That would really depend on how it affected the individual. If either caused the person to become obsessive or irrational, there's a problem.

Too much of either can lead to a psychosis. I think too much religion is worst because people with too much religion need to get a life.

An addiction to anything is harmful, I'm not sure one is more harmful than the other.

"Porn" is sex and sex is not only real but it's also human; religion on the other hand is man-made, it's not tangible, it controls people's minds through fear, and on top it is no more more than a fairy tale. So, I'd say that as long as the porn you're addicted to doesn't involve child pornography then you can beat your meat all you want. Final answer: between the two, I'd say that religion is by far the most dangerous addiction.

Can someone really be addicted to religion? If they can, I'd say a religion addiction is more harmful. At least porn addicts keep to themselves.

This is an easy one, Thanks Magenta Oviously religion is the much worse of the two, in fact much worse than almost anything addiction. Wars, inquistions, genocide and mass killings have all been because of religion. Not to mention racism and bigotry and imprisonment etc. OH! Baby MUCH worse!

porn is not responsible for the millenia of wars, genocide, racism, bigotry, bashing, murder, etc. that can almost always be attributed to religion! and I don't single out Christianity, either. Many religions hate/kill/discriminate in the name of their God!

The way humans practice and preach their "religion" is the biggest single cause of human misery, conflict and death. The intolerance of difference is one major shortcoming in many people and is the main catalyst to religion poisoning everything.
