Not a good idea at all. Some bitches get very territorial and will fight other animals around her pups that she sees as a threat. Think about a wolf pack. One wolf at a time has babies, never two.

They should do just fine while pregnant. We currantly have two dogs who were pregnant and now have pups. It is not a good idea to have them together once they give birth. And I would seperate them in advance. Once the puppies are born, you MUST keep the mom dogs away from the others puppies. It is ok to let both mom dogs see each other, but Do NOT let them see each others puppies. This will cause a fight and will also cause the moms to be confused and stressed. Dogs are not like humans, they dont have the same family connection as we do. If the mom dog knew there were more puppies, she might think they are hers and worry and try her best to get to them, scratch the door up, the floor and what ever else. She might also abanden her puppies because she could get too stressed about the puppies she thinks are hers that are somewhere else and she might put all of her energy into trying to get to the other puppies.
