HI, for people who get Christmas Tree: do you get real or fake, and why? Jewish-folk: do you have an electric menorah or a real candle one, and why?

Well, I get a real tree. We just get one because we can and it's a nice tradition. We like going out as a family to pick it out, we like decorating it, and we all participate taking care of it. Our ceilings are high enough, and we like the way the real tree smells.

We've done both fake and real trees... right now, we're going with fake trees because between two cats who still think they're kittens and a toddler who loves decorating and redecorating the tree, with a real one, the entire bottom half ends up embedded in the carpet long before Christmas!

this year it might be real if we feel like being brave and go in the cold. IF NOT, a fake one and just fancy it up!!!

I like real trees, only because of the smell. :)
