  • I do not want a high priced item for I realize how hard one has to work to just get by.Also I do not spend on big ticket items any more.I choose to remain out of debt.Anyways what does it prove to gift someone an overly expensive gift! Christmas shouldn't be about how much a gift is worth and it becomes a competition and the only one that wins is the department store.
  • I have a lot of big ticket items I am drooling over... (Kitchen Aid mixer, would love to have a cell phone, digital camera, printer...) but none of them will be under the tree. Trying to get out of debt, too, and frankly there is barely enough for very modest groceries. I'm sure you are wondering how someone so far in the hole has internet. I work at home and am required to purchase it to do my job. No, it is not reimbursed, but that's okay because it costs much, much less than the gas and car maintenance for the 3-hour daily commute did (which, frankly, is a big part of why I am in debt in the first place). I am looking forward very much to tax refund time, because I will actually be able to deduct a portion of my utilities, internet and phone included, because I work from home. Wasn't ever able to do that with the gas bill for the car! Still won't be buying any big ticket items then, either... hope to pay some bills. Happy Holidays.
