  • It may become more expensive to be buried in a cemetery, or incentives might be given to encourage people to be creamated, but I don't think they will ever disappear entirely. Too many people (for religious reasons or otherwise) want to be buried.
  • I don't think that old established cemetaries are going anywhere..they become sacred ground at some point...but as far as new people being buried I think you are right. I think that people are going to go even more for cremation.
  • Well I believe that if they lower their prices on plots, people would still use the plots, ( it's like with anything else if it's something they know people have to do, they put a big price on it) but because cremation is so much more cheaper, most people can only afford cremation. I read something, where you can register some of your land you own for a burial plot for your family. thats worth people looking into, it's alot cheaper to go that route, than even cremation. Check with planning and Zonning they can tell you. :)
