  • sounds like a relay for something, I would pull fuses one at a time until it quits, that will narrow it down to what circuit
  • I've checked the fuses and it's 19. RDO/Batt Normally wouldn't mind loosing the radio, but the AC and Heat went with it. With the fuse in there is a fluctuating draw on my test light. Unplugged CD changer no change, guessing the HVAC control module and radio may be the culprit? Any thoughts.
  • I also have a very similar problem with my battery draining on my 98 Jimmy. At first I thought the problem was the ignition switch, because a part of the electrical system does not turn off when the key is removed. The top light on the four wheel drive selects also stays on at all times. I've yet to try this, but have read a tech bulletin saying that the problem is caused from a short in the main fuse block under the hood. The bulletin indicated that the short was caused from corrosion in the block from moisture. Yesterday I removed the block and will try to replace it today.
