Why the heck do the all unanswered questions (Needs Answers) have 16-20 points? I believe they are all asked by the same person too.

People can appreciate a good question even if they don't have an answer. Happens to me all the time!;)

Here's my explanation: When I moderate a specific area of AB, say, the Science category, there are lots of questions that remain unanswered. Since I'm not a science person, I can't answer them. But I do give them points because they are legitimate questions. I think many others do the same thing.

I see what you mean. It looks like they could be sock puppet accounts and someone is racking up points for them . But if you check their profiles they are just people coming here quickly to get ONE question answered.
