That's a tough one. Growing up definately Madonna. But Gwen is new and refreshing. I like her style. I guess for me, it's really a tie.

I think that Mad and Gwen are both beautiful blonde gals. If I had to base my answer on their talent and drive, it would be a tie. I did appreciate the fact that Gwen got married and then got pregnant.

Hands down Gwen. She sang with Brad Nowell from Sublime. Although Madonna was cool back in the day.

They are both very talented. It's a hard call for me. Madonna has a larger body of work out there. I've never personally cared for Stefani's work. Again though, she has less to choose from. So I have to go with Madonna. I have never based the perceived public opinions of artists as a qualifier to accepting their music. Take Michael Jackson for instance, controversy swirls around him. I still love his music.

I prefer Gwen...I think she's awesome. But I do appreciate Madonna's drive. She may be a bitch, but it got her where she is today....a lot farther than I've gone! Gotta give her props for that!

gwen, how adorable is kingston, he is soooo cute! plus she seems to be keeping up with fashion by creating her own line of clothing and perfume, i don't see madonna accomplishing much that doesn't have to do with her past success

I am not a huge fan of that genre of music but I think you are asking about the difference between a hundred dollar bill and some weird penny. Madonna is known world-wide and even I know the words to some of her songs. I could not pick Gwen Stefani out of a pack of 2. I don't think there is a comparison to be made. To really answer your question properly I suppose I would have to choose Madonna.
