I'm assuming that you're asking about wedding/engagement rings. I would have preferred a plain wedding band actually, for many reasons. First, I'm just not very flashy. I'm a jeans and t-shirt kind of person usually. Also, we were very poor when we married, so spending money like that, to me, felt wrong (but his mother got involved lol, she insisted that there be diamonds in the ring). I love my ring and obviously wouldn't change it, but I do lots of crafts and messy things, so I always have to take it off for those things. I think a simple band would have suited me a little better.

Diamonds are lovely. But I have never been a big jewelry wearer, and would be afraid of losing it. What I would really have liked to have is a man who "wanted" to give me a nice diamond ring. My ex did get me one, but it was not a 'happy' diamond. The diamond was cracked and practically worthless. But so was he, so my experience with them hasn't been real good.

ABSOLUTELY NOT Cause in my neighborhood they would cut off my head to get the necklace and my arms to get the rest. besides I don't care for diamonds at all.

I've got a half-eternity ring with 10 tiny diamonds that amounts to about 1.3 carat! and my wedding band's got a single diamond, which is really sweet... shame I don't wear either now... although they're both white gold so I could wear them as costume.
