What is the easiest/quickest way, if there is one, to transfer music and pictures from a desktop to a laptop?

It depends upon the amount of music/pictures. If it's a relatively small amount (under a gig) then you can probably use a CD or a flash drive. If it's over that, you're going to want to network your computers, or just get a USB cable with type A-ends and...move the files.

Zibeltor, have you ever actually transfered files from one computer to another using just a USB cable? I've never had any success trying that, do you have some kind of software or something you use? thanks. tho answer the question though, the best way would be to network the two computers, and then share them on the network
