Light and easy? Hm... How about some comedy? I'll recommend "Why Do Men Have Nipples: Hundreds of Questions You'd Only Ask Your Doctor After Your Third Martini" It's rolling-on-the-floor hilarious.

May I suggest an unusual book I picked up by chance a couple of years ago, called Lorelei's Secret by Carolyn Parkhurst? It's an easy read, but addictive (I thought). It's a bit of a mystery. I bought it because it's about a man and his dog, whose name is Lorelei. I had a dog by that name as a child and that is what made me by it. It was a very pleasant surprise. Very strange and unusual story.

For some wacky satire, try anything in the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett. You might start with "The Color of Magic."

I actually just finished a really awesome novel...I think the guys fairly new...the book is called Pookoo and the author is DL Shiloh I went to purchase a copy for my little brother and found that the book has been temporarily pulled from Amazon due to printing errors, but found that the author is giving away copies via free e-book @ www.dlshiloh.com I'm not any good at reviewing stuff other than to say I liked it or didn't, but below is a link to the review that got me to check it out. http://brewza.blogspot.com/2008/10/review-pookoo-by-d.html I hope you like it as much as I did

If you like comedy Tom Robbins is good. Skinny Legs and All is my favorite.
