If it is not mortal then I guess being stabbed? Ive never been stabbed or shot before...so probably whatever hurts less.

Shot. Stab seems to rip more stuff. The other one pokes. I've never been thru either one, but... I think stab looks more painful...

Yes BB gun shot in the buttocks.

Unusual question but one I can answer. I have been both shot and stabbed at different times and can tell you that stabbing is much worse (at least initially) Gunshot wounds tend to shock the surrounding tissue and although it feels like you have been hit hard there really is not much pain until the next day (at least in my case). Stabbing hurts worse, is far more gruesome and also hurts more the next day. I also bled considerably more from the stab wound had severed muscle and was a lot more freaked out by the stabbing as you don't go into shock. If I had my choice I'd choose neither but if I had no choice but the two mentioned I would take the bullet.

I would rather be shot...because it's cooler:P

I would rather get stabbed, at least that way the perpetrator will have to be close enough for me to have had a fighting chance to retaliate. Shooting someone is a cowards way. I'd be angrier over being shot than stabbed because I would feel more helpless at having been able to prevent it.
