My 1997 4x4 chevy s10 pickup does not go into 4 wheel drive i can hear the motor engage push buttons work i have low range but stays in two wheel drive 4high stays in two wheel also. help

you may have a vac leak check you vacuum actuators it is under your batt tray than follow the vac line checking for cracks also check you shift cable to see if worn or bent it starts at yor vacuum actuators and ends ta your transfer case
