i would say the boeing 747.if you go back over the last 50+ yrs it would be the douglas dc-3/c-47.it was used during ww2,and is still used to this day

the air bus that has logged more flights would be the 737 it is'nt the glamourous but there are so many of them world wide i think they will be areound along time to come.

Probably the 747 in terms of technology and prestige. The 737 in terms of representing the meat of the commercial market, specifically as the sole type used by Southwest, which is the airline that best represents the past 25 years to me. Reset the 25-year clock to 1965-1990, and I'd say the 727.
