Yes, any dress can be changed to a more modern dress, and they also can be cut down to make a new dress from a formal party for children and infants..cause I have done it before.

I live in Australia. I have a friend in Bali, who remakes old wedding dresses and rents them out to poor girls getting married. Sometimes, she just asks them to pay for the dry cleaning. She also does the flowers and makeup. I have seen photos of girls she has helped and they look so beautiful. I have supplied her with dresses when I have gone to visit. I can give you an address if you would like to send one or two to her.
