Building fires in the basement. I don't know, but it kinda feels like I'm having to rough it to survive, even though I hardly ever go outside, and I can't go skiing anymore.

The weather and the snow, i just love it.

its absolutely beautiful - I most like it when you look outside and everything seemed to be still..the only thing that your aware is moving is the air you breathe- -when your so struck by how beautiful it is, you almost forget to shiver. hot chocolate is amazzzing too. I love to build forts and snow angels! haha ....and the fire-place :-) ... ah yes ..the fire-place lol :-) i'm starting to think of a lot of other things :-).. -and dbike wrote the smell of burning wood.. and it reminded me of how much I love that smell too.

The Holidays. I love the celebrations and bringing in the New Year.

The fact I can use my frequent flyer miles to go to aruba and call back to ask everyone I know how the weather is up there. Man I hate the cold.

The air is so fresh and crisp. Breathing in the clean cold air refreshes and rejuvenates. The snow - there's nothing else like it. Magical. And to talk a walk while it's snowing... there's nothing quite like that. Being able to bundle up in warm blankets, sit next to the fireplace, drink something hot (tea, hot chocolate, coffee, etc.), and/or cozying up to read a good book. The holiday decorations that come out. To take a walk around the neighborhood and be able to see dozens of different displays of light. Some can take your breath away. And decorating your own home; it changes the whole atmosphere and makes it feel so much more like home instead of some house. Winter's an amazing season. I can't limit myself to only one favorite thing. :)

Sitting by my large living room window where it is warm, on nights that are still and silent outside and inside the house. Everything outside is covered in a layer of ice, the reflection of Christmas lights shimmer everywhere, they seem to be on houses, in the trees, on the driveways, on the street; the sky is not black, but a dark purple with light purple clouds although it is midnight. And I feel as though I am in a fairytale.

Snow! Wood fires, snuggling with hubby and a cup of cocoa. Seeing the cats lying all around the wood stove. Playing outside. The light through the leafless trees and the way the sunshine sparkles on the ice and snow.
