Absolutely, many of my beliefs have changed or evolved over the years and I'd imagine they will continue to do so.
-
Yes. I went from belief to disbelief.

Well, I used to be pretty sure being gay was wrong, and icky, and they couldn't possibly be normal people. Somewhere along the line I found out that one of the people who I hung out with all the time was gay. It's not that she was hiding it, she just never brought it up because it wasn't a big deal to her. Everyone else knew, it seemed. I guess I came into the game a bit *after* she came out (and was a bit naive, perhaps), and she never really talked about a girlfriend or whatever. I found out when she was telling a story about a security guard hitting on her. I just remember thinking, "Wait, Chloe's gay? And... I've known her for years... and she hasn't hi- wait. Yes she has. the flowers. but she didn't keep hitting on me. and she's not gross, or mean..." And this was just huge to me at the time. Gay people are normal people too! They don't try to convert people! they're not all having sex indiscriminately! (I went to a conservative christian school at the time, so this was all stuff I'd been taught.) I was still mulling it over in class for the next 2-3 days, just like, wow.

I too had a revolutionary experience when I realized that I was one of those perferted gay people. It is an adjustment every gay person goes through called coming out.

Yes, there have been a lot times when I've been forced to change the way I think about something. I never want to, though, and I always resist the change as long as I can.

Yes, many of my beliefs of yore have changed as I grew older. I have a free mind to accept changes if I am convinced "due to insights and experiences". I am not chained to any dogmas or opinions just because it was ancient or told by some body "great". My motto in life is "Sapare Aude" meaning "Dare to be wise".

Certainly. I question, listen and sometimes I learn!
