  • As far as I know, in everystate you need a hunting or fishing license to do either. Each state has their own set of laws and regulations for both and the information should be available on said state's website(try google). For the most part fishing licenses are easy to obtain. Usually at a sporting goods store you fill out a form and can get one right there. Hunting licenses are a bit more difficult. I can speak for PA only here, but you had to pass a 3 day long hunter's safety course at least once before you could get one. And then there are different tags and stamps you get on your hunting license for hunting certain things. For example, you need what's called a duck stamp on your license to hunt water foul like ducks and geese. And if you want to hunt deer, you need a doe or buck tag for whatever county you want to take one from. Like if I wanted to spend a few days in the hills hunting for a doe in tioga county, I would need to get a doe tag from them in order to kill one. You then tag it with the tag when you kill it. Oh and different types of weapons also have different rules/regulations/licenses, such as muzzle loaders or archery. So do a little research on the state's website to find out what kinds of rules/regulations they have.
  • I got a fishing license earlier this year; my husband and I got one together, and since we were married, I believe we paid like $18 a piece (if you're not married getting it with a spouse, I think it's around $23, but I could be mistaken). We got it at a bait shop; around here, most bait shops and sporting goods stores (places like Cabela's and Gander Mountain and maybe R.E.I.) can issue them. I'm in Minnesota; I'm not sure how much of a difference it makes, but I'd imagine prices and sporting goods store chains vary from state to state.
  • I get a combination hunting and fishing every year. About $35 dollars in Okla. We do pay extra for deer tags and duck stamps. About twelve dollars. You can get them at most sporting goods stores, including WalMart. Or you can order them from the State Game and Fish Dept. You also pay extra for other different types of game, i.e., razorbacks (wild boar),elk, or special doe seasons for deer. Senior citizens get a discount, and active duty or retired military is free, except for the special permits.
  • had a fishing license, got it at sporting good store in Oregon, and it costed me $8 and two fish heads.
  • I don't have to have one because I am a tribal member living on tribal land! Alls I have to show is my tribal ID
  • I have a fishing license. I purchased it through the Bass Pro Shop. I believe it was $10.00. I don't remember really.
