I'm very saddened by this even though I knew it was coming. It's very hard to lose a parent on a holiday. I lost my father on Christmas. She will be in my thoughts and prayers and I will contact her. We haven't talked in a while. Now I wish we had. I love Sara dearly. Thank you Mark for letting us know.

I realize that your relationship with your mother was far from perfect, I am most sad about that. Now that she is gone, it leaves you with an empty feeling. Sure, your mom made some bad choices in men and in life in general but she probably never meant deep in her heart to hurt you. Since she had mental issues, hopefully you can look past that. There maybe be a sense of relief that your mother has passed and that is nothing to feel guilty about. I don't believe there is ever truly "closure" in life. Hopefully, the love of your boys and your family will see you through this difficult time. She has paid for her sins and a merciful Creator will not forget her.

My relationship with my mom was difficult too.she also had mental issues.it was a painfull relationship,even more painfull after she died.that along with other things made me question God's love for me.God healed alot of things in my life, including my relationship with my mom.I ask the same for you.You are a strong lady,A survivor. keep climbing that mountain for the little ones following in your footsteps.

Fisrt off, I want to say "Thank You" to Toker for posting this. That was very sweet of you. And to everyone else I want to say, "Thank you for your condolences and e-cards. It was all much appreciated." I just want you all to know I am realy fine. This was expected and I was prepared for it a long time ago. It's more of a relief it's finally over then anything else. By the way, I have so many e-mails it's going to take some time to get to them all. So, please, bear with me. I swear I will get to them all.

As I noted above, I pray every day (actually at Night Prayer) for those who died that day, either from natural, accidental or violent causes. Our church family only prays for "the safe return of our armed forces" (Iraq-Afgh'istan) but I always add silently, and at home, the dead, injured, orphans, widows, spouses, children ON ALL SIDES of the world's conflicts. God is NOT partisan about life or death.
