It is possible to appear to be one but in reality you are the other!

Thanks to the anonymity of the internet one can be very extroverted but in real life they can be quite introverted.

Yes, sort of. Most people think of extraversion and intraversion of a yes/no question, but some schools of though say that they are on a continuum - so you can in fact be somewhere in the middle. It's called Ambiversion. So if you find groups enjoyable but really prefer time alone, you could be both (though some will say you are a closet introvert)

Yes, I consider myself an extroverted introvert. I'm mostly an introvert but I have some extroverted tendencies.

Yes, it's clear to me that I have both characteristics, just not at the same time. Sometimes I'm very outgoing and sometimes I like my solitude and don't want to engage with others. Most abstract categories are too simplistic to capture the truth. "Extrovert" and "Introvert" are broad generalizations. In the process of labeling someone as one or the other, we lose all the details of that individual.

One can be extroverted and introverted. And it doesn't mean being somewhere in between. I am very much both. People usually have mixed views about me. And the ones who really know me have a hard time figuring me out.
