Oxycodone is part of the opiate family. It'll counter the effects of cocaine. But many use both in a back and forth fashion in order to keep different highs and at different levels. But what ends up happening is the effects of either is shorter and the person ends up using more of both drugs.

I am always weary to take an opiate (or any downer) after taking an upper, such as cocaine. I have heard that the mixed signals confuse the body (or heart) and could possibly shut down. However, I have taken xanax to help me go to sleep after being wired and obviously I'm still alive. So maybe it would, but I would do it hours after while coming down
