  • Douglas Adams' Hitchhikers Guide...(the one that includes all five books in one volume...I'm cheating...sue me). It holds the ever important meaning of life, and will provide plenty of humor to boot. Any book on learning to grow crops...for obvious reasons. The Universe and the Teacup - it speaks of morality and is an interesting read about humanity and the effects we have on the surrounding environments.

  • I would take the holy books of the three major religions...read them all word for word...then find the common denominators in them to synthesize and summarize and that would be the New Civilization holy book..if that were to occur, at least we would eliminate religion as an excuse for killing our fellow humans.

  • Great Question...A lot of great suggestions have been made for books to take, but I would say no the Bible and other religious books. With so much conflict here over these books and beliefs, I would hope the New Civilization could find a united belief.
