anyone who says no is probably at least half-lying. after all, if a model wasn't famous and all glamourous and everything, i doubt all the young girls today would want to go for the job.

Glamour is one of the foremost reason to want to be a model. When we look at them on the ramp or on magazine covers, we look at the rosy picture and that is what makes the impact on our minds. All models do not get to be successful and sometimes their lives can become very messy. So one wanting to be a model, should always weigh their options first.

its not purely for glamour, theres always the money : )

yes, but honestly. everyone knows that being a model is a tough job. but does that stop them from wanting to be one?
-
It's for the money, plus the admiration of many people. You can't have those if you work in an office like me =)

i cant bcuz i'm 'unconfirmed'. when i am going to receive a confirmation letter is beyond me

IMHO I don't think there is much glamourous about the life of a model.

Hmm - I wopuldn't say that modelling is generally all that glamourous - famous top models who make lots of money and are big names may have glamourous, partying lifestyles as a result - but the actual modelling bit of it, doing the shoots and things I don't think is much more glamourous than anything else. It can be fun, but sometimes it's also quite boring, some photographers are annoying and talk about you as if you can't hear them, often it's kind of cold as well if you have to take your clothes off. On the plus side, earning extra cash just for sitting there is pretty cushty, it's a great confidence boost to see nice, professional pictures of yourself looking great, it's something exciting you can look back on when you're older, and working with decent photographers who involve you in the creative process can be good fun. Maybe some people perceive it as glamourous, but I'm not sure it really is - most often it's something you fall into by accident anyway.
