  • No. You would not be able to use 500 of those buttons to land or take off properly.
  • Yes!!!!! But what an awful way to go. LOL
  • This would be rather difficult considering the amount of work involved. It also depends on the amount of experience the person has with aviation. Performing basic flight manuevers such as climbs turns is not too difficult. Its everything else that would be too complicated. Flying the plane is the most basic aspect of the flight. Everything else such as navigating, communicating, operating the systems, and essentially "managing" the flight is the problem. Without experience and training on a 747, the landing and takeoff would be the most problematic. For takeoff and landing, properly programming, setting, and arming everything beforehand would be a daunting task. The inexperienced pilot would probably overshoot the runway or crash short of it on landing. I don't mean this to offend anyone who feels confident of their abilities. In any emergency, people often rise up to a task at hand, especially if their life is on the line. I conclude by saying that in order to properly manage a flight and fly an aircraft, a trained professional pilot with knowledge of all the systems and procedures is absolutely necessary.
  • A 747 can fly itself! But without autopiolot it takes some serious skill to fly any commercial airline and that requires years of training! Without that no, they could not fly a 747.
