Most banks have what's called a "Check Card" which works like credit card and a debit card. Instead of them giving you a line of credit, when you buy something using it as a credit card, it just takes the amount out of your bank account.

There is a new product which is a prepaid credit card. You can reload it as many times as you need to. They can be purchased at most "check cashing" businesses and at certain mall customer service centers. Walgreens even sells them (drug stores)You can use it directly after purchasing it. There is a small activation fee and you are charged fees each time you use it. I think it's like $1.50 per charge, and $2.50 for atm withdraw.
