Falling down the tunnel to wonderland

Was it real? Did it happen? Or was it all a dream? I moved from relative to relative, from continent to continent so much. I saw a lot of beautiful and horrifying things and I was always afraid and amazed. When I think about my memories, my entire childhood feels like a fairytale, magical and strange.

my earliest memories are vague..one somewhat traumatic (I lost a toy on a bus)..and the other seemingly totally inconsequential..I was looking out a window and my mother was telling me how tall I was getting (must have been about 3 or 4)...
