In a manner of speaking I have. I served 18 year in the military. Many f times I risked my life for people I have never met.

No, and neither would anybody else here. If you say you would, go donate your heart, liver, kidneys and eyes. There are plenty of total strangers who need them.

It might depend on the circumstances. If I needed to save a child by giving up my life I probably would. An adult would be a different story I think.

I've put myself in a life or death situation several times to save others. Life isn't that important to me in the sense that mine is THAT much more important than anyone elses. Neighbors house was on fire and i went in to find the kids, but they were already outside.. Had to beat a pit bull over the head with an ax once and every day I drive on freeways.. That says it right there.. We all take out own lives in our hands regularly driving cars with passengers....

Many people in the armed forces have done it many soldiers have gone into to battle in circumstances where they knew the chances of survival were minimal just for the notion of a free world, Could I do it? I don't think I could especally now I have family
