Now they are grown and wonderful men.
Wow. I amaze myself!
As a kid I had a really good little magic set and I did performances for family and friends.
Depends on your meaning of "magic". There's so many different ways/beliefs.

Yes I love magic
My father was a professional magician. He was chapter president of the Society of American Magicians. I was his stage assistant, and we performed at the Magic Castle in Los Angeles in the late 60's.
In addition to stage magic, I have also studied and practice the occult arts, or sorcery.

Only in the bedroom.
I have performed simple tricks for children. However, I do know a man who did magic. Every afternoon after work, he would turn into a bottle shop. LOLOL
Magic as in illusion, sure, magic as in full on Merlin power of the dragon stuff, no, don't believe in it
Nope.
That doesn't sound like something that would be possible in my reality.
Yes
I'm a computer programmer.
Once I found a program doing something all the manuals said it would not do.
I experimented until i discovered that inserting a single blank line consisting of a single space character just before the problem line made the problem go away.
I haven't a clue what the mechanism causing the problem was or by what mechanism the solution worked its magic.
I only know what I did (spell) and the result.
Taking the blank line out brought the problem back. It was a reversible solution (spell).
Later when I encountered the identical problem in another program I used the same spell (solution) to fix it. (reproducible results.)
This made my solution (spell) a useful one because it could be used repeatedly and would always work
I was programming by "magic"

I define "magic" as a set of actions we can take to produce known and predictable results, but for which we have no clue to the mechanism.
I tried too but it didnt work.
