  • I recommend taking up Yoga. I know you asked about Pilates in another question... you can follow the same advise for Yoga. Also, if you have cable, FITtv has a show called "Namaste Yoga" which has various difficulty levels of yoga flows. Sometimes I can do them, sometimes they kick my butt five minutes in... but it's always fun and relaxing.
  • Yes I can do them. :) 1.) start to go into the splits and go as far as you can while holding yourself there... hold it for a long time, and slowly slide down a bit more. Doing this regularly, you'll become more flexible. 2.) After you do step 1, and you push past your comfort zone, sit back into your straddle making sure NOT to close your legs not even a bit... now stretch side to side, and front 3.) Find a wall, lay down w/your butt touching the wall and your legs up in the air against the wall. Open your legs like a straddle, point your toes and just hold it for a long time... slowly your legs will open wider and become more flexible w/regular use. 3.) You can do some fan kicks, or frogs to help w/the weirdness you'll feel after these exercises. :) **always point your toes. **don't give up **push yourself If you want it, you'll get it... you just have to block things out in your head, sure it's gonna be uncomfortable and hurt a bit, but take it slowly. It's not so bad when you control the pain, but make sure not to always wuss out, and push yourself Goodluck!!
