For those interested in graphic design: who are your favorite graphic designers and why?

My favourite Graphic Designer would be David Carson. Because he "broke the rules" and "revolutionized" Graphid Design. I find his work very different in it's approach from others, I also like his experimental typography.

The person who came up with the Playboy Bunny. The man who designed the Porsche 911. Anyone who can make interesting and not goofy fonts. People who can design in black and white and make it powerful without the easy draw of color. I don't know the names of the good designers, but we all know their work and can appreciate their wonderful way of seeing things.
