The best and possibly the cheapest way to solve your problem would be to fix 1inch thick battons on the the adjoining walls. Pack the centres with Rockwool or simular insulation and then attach 8x4foot plaster board. Always screw the plaster board to the battons. Make sure that the screws are sunk into the plaster board, so the heads are flush. Use tapered edge plaster board as, once these are butted up together, the tapperd edges and screw heads can be neatly filled with Infill. Infill is a powder which is mixed in a bucket and is very soft and smooth and needs to be troweled onto the plaster board at the joins. It sticks really well and you dont have to be a plasterer to do it! Infill costs £10 a bag, plaster board is usually about £5.50 for an 8x4 sheet, [you will need to buy twelve and a half mm thick boarding] that is important. Plaster board screws £2.50 and Insulation around £25.00 for three rolls. This may not completely solve your problem but will certainly help. Best of luck.

Lay carpet (with underlay) on the floor instead of wood/laminate - it absorbs the noise. Go furniture shopping and buy stuff to put in the room. Sofas, bookcases, sideboards, cabinets - all the usual items absorb noise.
