Though we all joke with Bogeyman , it is proven ( through ocult practise ) that there is a demon , "created from night and its darkness and Shadows" that scares little children , thus feeds on their energy.
It's easy to banish him , and he spends most time on Astral plane , except in night when he frequently visits little children , anywhere in house really * not only under the bed ).

You can read more about this creature in " Balcanic witchery " book.

Psyhologists consider Boogeyman , one of many sinonimms for dark side of our soul / mind.
Also we might consider also the fact that Boogeyman is present in every culture , tradicion in t world in certan form.

No, he sometimes lives in the closet and he occasionally visits the basement and the attic. He really gets around considering he is a home-body!

Actually he or she only works nights there. One his or her shift ends, just before dawn, then he or she goes home. Just don't ask me where they live. (That's priviledged information).

Boogeyman as in singular? Yes it is so - under one bed; yours. Used to live here but the dust bunnies crowded him out. +5 and sorry.

The Bogeyman can hide under your bed, but he's tall so its really uncomfortable and he gets annoyed when you jump on the mattress like the ADD-ridden lil kid you are, lol.
Also, he shows you via horrible hallucinations and psychological violation what you're most afraid of, and eats your fear like the sweetest candy while you cower gibbering in the dark.
Sleep well, people! Mwua ha ha ha ha.
