Hemophilia is a problem where a person's blood does not clot to the normal, expected level. There are several drugs on the market to combat this. Most are either factor 8- or factor 9-based, depending on the type of hemophilia and the clotting assistance needed. Before such drugs, hemophiliacs had to avoid stressful activity lest they bleed internally - Alexi Romanov being an example.
