  • I would imagine you can still buy medical insurance at any insurance agency. Good medical insurance that doesn't cost an arm and a leg just doesn't exist. I once bought a 3-month non-renewable health insurance policy when I was in between jobs a long time ago. The coverage was very limited. Insurance companies are in the business of making money. When you are young and healthy, they often welcome you with open arms. But when you are old and sick, they will dump you or charge you a premium so high that you can't afford. Just look at how the insurance companies treat the hurricane Katrina victims in Louisiana and Missisippi. If I were you, I would try my very best to stay healthy, and save my precious money for rainy days.
  • In the United States? Virtually nowhere. If you show limited income, the major health insurance companies may offer reduced cost insurance. I'd at least check that out. But you can't be making much money, that I know;)
