Don't know what sawmill is. Can you explain? Maybe I know it by a different name? AH! Other than the onions sounds like country sausage gravy:-) Very yummy! We make our won breakfast sausage so I can get it nice and spicy (I love lots of sage!! and cayenne) and we make dynamite gravy with it. Pour it over biscuits or over chicken friend steak? It's one of my favorite meals:-)

Sawmill Gravy INGREDIENTS 1 pound ground pork sausage 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper 1/2 cup chopped green onions 2/3 cup milk DIRECTIONS Place sausage in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium heat until evenly brown. Drain on paper towels, reserving 2 tablespoons fat in skillet. Stir in flour, salt, and pepper. Cook, stirring constantly, until flour is brown. Add chopped green onion, and cook until tender. Gradually stir in milk, and cook until thickened. Add more milk if necessary to achieve preferred consistency. Serve with sausage.

I don't even know what you're talking about.

I enjoy BOTH ! It just depends on what mood I'm in and what I'm having for breakfast. I can tell you this for sure. On top of good fluffy home made biscuits, I prefer sawmill gravy ( Minus the onion of course )
