ANSWERS: 12
  • 2nd cousin
  • Granduncles' son is still your uncle.
  • Your grandmother's brother is your great uncle and his son would be your second cousin.
  • 2nd cousin I believe
  • 2nd cousin once removed
  • Ok. I have to clarify here due to culture. I'm Chinese so Chinese have different saying for relatives. Like my mum's sis is my aunt (Yee)but we pronounced it different from my dad's sister (Gu). By doing it we immediately know which side of our relatives (dad's or Mum's side) Uncles the same and even granparents...trust me.. it's true In this case, grandmother's brother's son, we know it's second cousin but in order to know which side we still cousin uncle (in chinese, put 'biao' means cousin ) uncle means older as he would be your dad or mum's cousin. Not your cousin brother or sister. (we have that classified too) Sorry for the culture shock.
  • It is second cousin but I find myself calling my greatuncle, uncle and my 2nd cousin uncle as well.
  • I agree with the second cousin...
  • I used this reference: http://lewisgenealogy.com/relate.html "For a true "relationship" to exist, there must be an ancestor who is common to both individuals." The common ancestors are the father / mother of your grandmother. You are their "Great Grandson or Daughter". Your grandmother's brother's son is their "Grandson or Daughter". According to the chart, you are "First Cousin Once Removed"
  • Actually.. My grandmother's brother's son would be an uncle. Because my grandmother's brother would be my great uncle and his son would be my uncle. And for him, I would be his second cousine. :)
  • I agree with second cousin answer.
  • Im not sure but I wouldnt have kids with him, still related.
