It just depends on the quality. If the choice is bad horror novel or good horror movie, I'm picking the movie. If the choice is bad horror movie or good horror novel, I'm picking the novel.

I'd much rather watch a movie. I read the Shining and it was boring for about 250 pages. In a 400 page book, that's a lot.

Horror movies are never really scary except for the juvenile-at-heart. Why? Because they're preposterous. Ridiculously preposterous. *** But I HAVE read ONE good horror novel. Dracula. Not scary, mind, but it was extremely interesting and entertaining (unlike any horror movie I've ever seen).
