"the quiet things that no one ever knows" by brand new reminds me of a guy i was with a while back. he played it for me on his guitar the night that we met. it's still hard for me to listen to it. too many memories. :l

My sophmore year of high school, I went with my best friend's family to Myrtle Beach. When we had to leave - this guy that I'd been hanging out with all week, asked me if I'd ever heard the song "Sealed with a Kiss," I hadn't, but it played on the radio on the way home. Every time I hear it, it reminds me of him.

Wilco's "Jesus, Etc." reminds me of a girl I dated the summer before my senior year in high school. She was spectacular - she hid in my trunk when we went to drive-in movies so I wouldn't have to pay for her (I'm sure I looked ridiculous going to a drive-in 'alone,' but it was one of the most incredible things anyone has ever done for me). I think I'm still in love with her, in a strange, nostalgic sort of way.

I used to have a wonderful dog by the name of Sandy. She was a mixed breed (border collie and something else), but cute as a button and loyal as anything. This song, entitled "Sandy", always brings back good memories of her, even though she died more than twenty years ago.
