Roughly the same way they become drug addicts. You start with something easy - a bargain at a boot sale you can sell on at the antiques arcade. No problem - one little deal never hurt anyone. Then you go to a couple more boot sales. Relax - you could give up any time you wanted, and you can sell them on via ebay. But before long, ebay isn't enough for you and you have to take a stall at your monthly antiques fair. And, worse, to supply your stall you start dealing with other antiquies, buying their boot sale finds to feed your own needs. And before you know it you are a full-blown dealer with your own shop and elderly Volvo estate and your life is one long round of actions and sales, all to feed your dealing habit.
