  • Call your insurance agent and give the corrected v.i.n.. you are paying for auto insurance on a specific automobile. if an accident occurs, you definitely want to be covered. also, check your new car registration paper, issued by your state. it should have the correct v.i.n., to your new automobile, listed on it. if not, you are going to have to start all over, beginning with the dealer. the dealer will have to make the corrections to all parties involved.
