Can people in wheelchairs for being palegic or what not, can they still have sex?

yes.... the penis isn't just controled by nerves...it also has a time thing...(morning hard-ons) they do come up and can be stemulated to produce sperm and for women they still can get lubricated and can still get preg....and a man can still get a girl preg...they just can't feel it.... but all the stuff still works....i remember hearing this and reading about it about christopher reed....(superman)

I do. It depends on the reason they are disabled. Some spinal chord injuries below a certain point can disrupt sexual function. But generalizations in this case do not apply. All depends on several factors but I can tell you from my own experience I function normally.

Some can, some can't. As a general rule you'd say the more paralysed you are - quadriplegic vs paraplegic, for instance - the less likely it would be that you had any feeling or function there.

My husband uses a wheelchair and that has absolutely nothing to do with our ability to have sex...

I do know some people who are parapelegic (if I understand your term)who still have active sex lives. It does depend often as to what the cause is however. Hope this helps!

I occasionally use a wheelchair because I have one leg. Of course it is totally unrelated to my ability to have sex. But you would be absolutely amazed how often people wonder to me or people who know me if I can have sex because I am an amputee. They have no idea what they might miss by making assumptions. Thanks for the good question- it's one that is dear to my heart. The previous posters are completely correct- it depends on what is wrong.
