That depends on the amount of your pay. Tax brackets are income figures. For example (just for illustration) 35,000-75,000 at 25% and 75,001 to 150,000 at 35% and so on. Please remember these are not accurate tables but just for illustration. So, if you made below 75,000 you pay 25% and above 75,000 35%. So it is not the amount of overtime but rather the pay that determines the tax. Gross pay is the key not you base. In other words income is the figure to worry about not wheter it is base or overtime.

Yep. With more hours your yearly income goes up. General rule on overtime was you get the half and the government gets the rest. Better now though. Its about 60/40 with you getting the 60.
