Realistically, how long does it take to plan a medium sized wedding?

planning can take a day.getting things into prospective takes one to three months.

My daughter's wedding was around 150 people and we worked on it for the better part of a year.

If you mean 50 people, 6 months.

what do you consider "medium"? I bet I could do it in 6 weeks if you lived near me. and it would depend on how realistic and picky you are. It could take longer if everything has to be perfect. But if you want it fast you need to compromise, maybe a lesser known bakery, silk flowers not real, off the rack wedding dress not 6 fittings. this would not mean it would not be nice and beautiful, it would still be nice.
