As long as they're good parents, I don't see a problem with it.

It might not be in the "traditional" way, but gay couples have been having babies together for years. We have a lot of gay/lesbian friends who have their own kids.

For the couple, I think they'd appreciate that. For the child- I'm not so sure. There are certain things that are provided by a mother or a father that is unique- same reason that adults should not have friends of just one gender. There are gender differences, and that affects children as they grow.

I think it would be great. However, there are ways (convoluted, granted) that couples can have children that are genetically related to them today.
