  • Yes, but the offenses enforced, would probably be very limited. in my state, the police can enforce only reckless driving offenses on private property. also, the private property owners, may have an agreement for enforcement with the police. its different in all state and jurisdictions.
  • I have a second hand business and the police harrass us a lot. We have 4 parking stalls in front and they regularly pull people over and park cross ways to block the entire parking lot. I have called and complained, and I have been taking pictures I plan to post in regards to the harassment. Is there anything else I can do? Is this a legal means of harrassment?
  • Apparently so in Alameda CA. I was under the impression you could not receive a parking ticket on private property, unless the owner of the property calls it in. But I have just received my third ticket in as many years for parking on my own property, behind the sidewalk line, parallel with the other car in my driveway. The ticket reads "Parking in front yard". Is this legal if I am not encroaching the sidewalk and it does not present an eyesore etc?
