  • No. What Company A should do is either request that you take that week as PTO, offer to bring you back to Company A for the week of shutdown or pay you. You are not working FOR Company B and cannot be forced into taking their holidays off without pay. Company B has hired Company A, not you personally, as a contractor. I have worked under these conditions before and my employer always had me come back to my own company during any holiday time that was not recognized by them.
  • Agree with DisEnchanted....you can aske for PTO for that week but they can't refuse to pay you as long as youhave PTO to use.
