If I picked the winning lottery numbers and made the trip to purchase the lottery ticket with someone else's money, am I entitled to 1/2 of the winnings? I live in CT. Would each state rule the same?

If you made the trip for someone, it was their money, and the intent was that you were purchasing it for them then I would say you are not entitled to any of it. The least they could do is give you a nice sum for being so kind to get it for them in the first place. But you are not the owner of the ticket.

i think if you took loan you should pay back his orignal amount ..and guve some extra amount for goodwill and help

Legally, if you purchased the ticket, it is yours. How is someone going to prove that you were buying it for them? Morally, however, you know who the owner of the ticket is and it is really up to them what they give you.

I wouldnt have thought you would be entitled to any of it as it was their money that purchased the ticket,but i think they should give you something for picking and getting the ticket,the only thing you can do is ring the lottery up and explain and see what they say about it at least you would know where you stand.
